Expert Group Facilitation
We facilitate strategic retreats, leadership meetings, team building activities, and coalition/partner meetings with an expert perspective to draw out points of consensus and address implicit and explicit issues of difference or divergence.
We first undertake research, 1:1 interviews and confidential listening sessions to find out more about the particular sector, work programs, and trends at play to ensure our work is grounded in effective work outcomes. We then design highly interactive and lively retreats, planning sessions, dialogue sessions, and teambuilding activities with those factors in mind. Keeping work milestones and decisions at the forefront, we encourage and facilitate candid sharing of individual insights and challenges, and then support the group to move toward consensus and agreement. We also offer succinct and thoughtfully written meeting summaries to memorialize issues discussed and agreement reached.
Leadership compacts are helpful for new teams that are seeking to gel together or for existing teams that need to refresh their interaction and decision making. Leadership compacts answer the questions: what are our shared standards of leadership? What do we want to make explicit about our expectations of one another? What norms guide our interactions with our teams and with one another? What do we ask of one another? If necessary, they can also address other things, such as: How do we run our meetings and make decisions? How do we share information? What roles do each of us play? We facilitate the entire process, creating content and discussion prompts, summarizing outcomes and scribing the final leadership compact for endorsement.
